Step Aerobics
Students will demonstrate:
- Demonstrate proper step technique and safety
- Participate in an aerobic workout
- Perform beginner, intermediate, and advance steps within a routine
Cognitive:
The students will be able to:
- Identify the benefits of participating in step aerobics
- Understand 8 count and 4 count beats
- Define F.I.T.T. Principle
- Differentiate between aerobic and anaerobic exercise
- Recognize and distinguish among various exercise intensity levels
- Identify opportunities to participate in step aerobic outside of school
Affective:
The students will:
- Value the benefits derived from aerobic exercise
- Make choices to incorporate aerobic exercise in personal exercise routine
