The students will be able to:
- Demonstrate proper technique of asanas
- Demonstrate proper breathing technique
Cognitive:
The students will be able to:
- State the origin of Yoga
- Understand the relationship between focusing, balance, and range of motion.
- Define yoga (union of the mind and body)
- Identify the physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of Yoga
- Create a vinyasa (sequence of asanas)
- Identify levels (high, medium, low) in asanas
- Summarize and apply an article on yoga to personal growth to increase appreciation for the benefits of Yoga
Affective:
The students will be able to:
- Reflect on how yoga can help an individual’s needs
- Appreciate the difference between prior knowledge of yoga and content learned in class.
- Respect individual abilities in flexibility and balance.
