Philadelphia, PA – April 30, 2014. Djalma Novaes Jr. has been named President of CROWN Embalagens Metálicas da Amazônia S.A. (�ԹϺ����� Brazil), a joint venture of �ԹϺ����� Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCK) (�ԹϺ�����) (www.crowncork.com) and Évora S.A. of Porto Alegre, Brazil. The appointment was effective on March 1. Mr. Novaes succeeds Rinaldo Lopes, who spent more than 30 years with �ԹϺ�����.

Mr. Novaes returns to �ԹϺ����� Brazil from Fitesa, a nonwoven producer and a subsidiary of Évora S.A., where he served as Chief Operating Officer since March 2012. Before that, Mr. Novaes held a number of positions within the �ԹϺ����� organization including Director of Operations for �ԹϺ����� Brazil, as well as Area Manager and Vice President of Operations at CROWN Beverage Packaging North America. Mr. Novaes first joined �ԹϺ����� in 1998.

Mr. Novaes earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and another in History from Universidade do Vale do Sapucaí in Minas Gerais. In addition, he earned an MBA degree from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo. He also completed a General Manager Program at Harvard University.
