Dear ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø-Brightwaters Community,

 

As you are aware, a trial brought against the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø School District under the Child Victims Act commenced on October 24, 2024, at Suffolk County Supreme Court. Following the liability phase of the trial, the jury found the District liable. The case will now proceed to the damages phase on November 1, 2024.

 

The District remains committed to the health, safety, and well-being of all students and will provide further updates as the legal process continues. As always, thank you for your support of our students and ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø.
