On Saturday, March 29th the Lady Marauders downed Centereach 15-5.  Junior pitcher Kim Goldsmith threw a five hitter with eight strikeouts for the win. Goldsmith helped her cause going 2-for-2 with a double and a home run with 4 RBI and two walks in the win. Senior co-captain Sarah Edwards was 2-for-5 with a double and 3 RBI.  Sophomore Jamie Soldinger and senior co-captain both had two hits.  Great defense was played by senior Abigail Fudge in the hot corner and junior Ana Vargas with two big plays including a diving catch to secure the victory.  

On Friday, March 28th West Islip gave ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø their first loss of the season.  Senior co-captain Emily Fischer came up with a clutch hit for an RBI and señor third baseman Abigail Fudge also was clutch with a RBI double. Junior shortstop had two hits in the loss and had a top-10 play in the field faking out a runner on second for a big out.  

In ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø's season opener on March 25th, the Lady Marauders knocked off Newfield 11-4.  Kim Goldsmith went the distance in the circle for her first varsity win. Kaly Alzate went 2-3 with a home run and four RBIs, and Sarah Edwards, Elise Ambos and Goldsmith all went 3-4 to lead ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏÍø (1-0) in League II.
