Gourmet Foods

Grades 10-12

This course is a food preparation course that may be used for a sequence in Food and Nutrition or as an elective.  Scholars play a major role in choosing menus and will prepare specialty dishes at least once a week.  This course reviews basic food management skills with a concentration on food preparation and presentation.


International Foods

(200 level)

.5 credit

This course focuses on helping scholars gain a better understanding of meal patterns of various countries and regions.  Scholars have an active role in decision-making regarding countries to be studied and dishes to be prepared.  They are expected to cook at least once a week.  This course may be used toward a sequence in Food and Nutrition or may be taken as an elective.
