Track and Field
TRACK AND FIELD OBJECTIVES:
Psychomotor:
Students will demonstrate proper form and technique while performing the following skill:
- Running
- Baton hand off
- Hurdles
- Shot pot
- Long jump
Cognitive:
The students will be able to:
- Identify the difference between events (Sprints, Middle Distance, Distance, Hurdles, and relays)
- Use appropriate terminology
- Distinguish the various opportunities to compete in track and field
Affective:
The students will:
- Communicate with peers in a positive and productive manner
- Exhibit leadership
- Understand importance of followership
- Demonstrate accountability for responsibilities to their peers
- Appreciate the importance of engaging in lifetime activities to promote wellness
