Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is designed to protect the wearer and/or those nearby from the spread of illness-causing germs. When used properly, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) acts as a barrier between infectious materials such as viral contaminants and the wearer’s skin, mouth, nose, or eyes (mucous membranes).
