OBJECTIVES:
Psychomotor:
Students will demonstrate proper form and technique while performing the following skills:
- Ready position
- Throwing
- Catching
- Fielding ground and fly balls
- Batting
- Base running
Students will:
- Anticipate ball directions and move to the ball
Cognitive:
The students will be able to:
- Name and explain player positions
- Identify lines/boundaries of the playing field
- Use appropriate terminology during play and practice
- Understand scoring in softball
- Categories softball as a lifetime activity
- Identify venues in the community to play softball recreationally
Affective:
The students will:
- Communicate with peers in a positive and productive manner
- Exhibit leadership
- Understand importance of followership
- Demonstrate accountability for responsibilities to their peers
- Appreciate the importance of engaging in lifetime activities to promote wellness
